Hardik was knocked out of the World Cup, India’s shock before the semis

International

That’s exactly what was feared. Hardik Pandya was ruled out of the entire World Cup due to injury, which added to India’s worries ahead of the World Cup semi-finals. Without Hardik, India had won four matches in the group stage, but the balance of the team was disturbed. And that’s how India will play the remaining matches of the World Cup.

Because instead of Hardik, former Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Prasidh Krishna has been added to the Indian team, but he is a complete pacer. His bat is not good at all. As a result, there is no possibility of playing him unless something unexpected happens. Many people think that a player who has been dropped has to announce a change just because he has been added to the team.

On Saturday morning, ICC, the governing body of world cricket, informed that Hardik has not yet recovered from the injury he suffered against Bangladesh in Pune on October 19. As a result, Hardik’s World Cup campaign ended. He will not be able to play this World Cup. Instead, Prasidh’s name was sent by the Board of Cricket in India (BCCI). The proposal was approved by the technical committee of the World Cup. Prasidh played only 19 ODIs.

But initially when Hardik was injured against Bangladesh, it seemed that India’s vice-captain would not be able to play in one or two matches (against New Zealand and England) in Merkett. In that match, while bowling in his first over, Hardik injured his left ankle while fielding. Couldn’t speak after that. He did not bat. It was taken from the field and scanned. The scan report showed nothing of concern.

In that situation, it was initially informed by the board that Hardik will not be able to play in the New Zealand match (October 22). Later will join the team directly to Lucknow for the England match (October 29). But that didn’t happen. On the other hand, Hardik did not join the team when India played against Sri Lanka at the Wankhede Stadium last Thursday.

Hardik did not come to Kolkata with the Indian team on Friday for the match against South Africa at the Eden Gardens on Sunday. As a result, a concern was developing. And that fear came true on Saturday.
