The trial of former Pakistan Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan, arrested in the Saefer case, will be held in jail. Along with that, PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi will also be tried inside the jail.

The Cabinet of the Central Caretaker Government of Pakistan gave the approval in this regard on Monday. In the cabinet meeting, a summary was presented by the Ministry of Law. It is said that Imran Khan should be tried in jail for security reasons. Later it was approved. News from Jio News.

Imran Khan was arrested on August 5. He was initially held in Pakistan’s notorious Attock Jail. Later on September 26, he was transferred from there to Adiala Jail. Then Imran Khan was convicted in the Toshakhana case. Later he was also arrested in the cipher case. Qureshi is also held in the same prison.

However, Imran Khan has appealed to the Islamabad High Court objecting to the trial in jail. The court summoned arguments from the Attorney General. The inter-court appeal is scheduled to be heard on Tuesday.

Imran Khan had to leave the post of Prime Minister after losing the no-confidence vote in the Parliament in April last year. Imran Khan’s appeal against trial in jail was dismissed on October 16 by a single bench of the Islamabad High Court headed by Chief Justice Amer Farooq. Later, Imran Khan appealed against the decision of the single bench in the inter court.

Will Bushra Bibi stand by Imran Khan?

According to the Pakistani press, the wife Bushra Bibi is going to be in danger after Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of the country and Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). There are even fears that he may be arrested at any time.

The News expressed such fears in a report on Saturday (11 November). According to the report, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is verifying certain evidence against Bushra Bibi. If they are confirmed then Bushra Bibi will come from witness list to accused list.

The media reported quoting sources, NAB has received several new evidences, they are crosschecking these. If they are convinced of this, Bushra Bibi may be arrested. Evidence of some financial transactions was found against Bushra Bibi.  

In such a context, Syed Inamullah Shah, former in-charge of former prime minister Imran Khan’s Bani Gala residence, said on Saturday that he was not sure whether Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief’s wife Bushra Bibi would be by his side in the coming days. Because they are now facing an extreme legal battle.

Geo News reports that both the PTI chief and his wife have faced multiple cases since Imran’s ouster as prime minister in April; Which eventually landed cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan in jail.

On Geo News’ talk show ‘Jirga’, Syed Inamullah Shah claimed that he was close to Imran’s wife and oversaw several personal matters.

During the show, host Salim Safi asked him (Shah) whether he thought, being someone close to Bushra, that Imran’s wife would stand by him during the ongoing crisis.

‘You can’t be sure; When it happens to him (Bushra).’ He added that, ‘We cannot say for sure whether he (Bushra) will be with him (Imran) or not.’

Syed Inamullah said, ‘We cannot say that for sure – because there were many people whom we thought would stand by Khan Sahib, including several influential party leaders.’

The host of the program said, but they were political figures. In response, Shah pointed out that it was not only the politicians but also Imran’s close friends who did not stand by him.

At this time, the presenter asked Shah that what was the reason behind Imran blindly following Bushra’s instructions?

‘I think it was something spiritual. Mr. Khan is not such a person. But he followed his instructions in such a way that whatever he said, Khan Sahib agreed,’ said Syed Inamullah Shah.
