Pakistan finance minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has begun discussions with IMF to review $ 7 billion loan programs

Pakistan IMF LOAN O: Pakistan Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb on Tuesday launched a review of the $ 7 billion an program with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). As a result of this successful conversation, Pakistan can be released from the IMF for the next $ 1 billion.

The Pakistani delegation led by Finance Minister Aurangzeb informed the IMF party about the financial situation from July to January. The meeting was chaired by Nathan Porter, head of the IMF delegation, financial deficit, province and data related to revenue collection. According to sources, the financial deficit of Pakistan was recorded from July to December 2025 1537 billion rupees. In addition, FBR president Rashid Mahmud gave detailed information about the collection of Langerial revenue.

The discussion will be held in two stages
This conversation will run until March 15 and will be held in two phases.
First episode: The technical aspects will be discussed in it.
Second Episode: The policy-level discussion will be concentrated.
The conversation includes Pakistan’s finance ministry, energy ministry, planning commission, State Bank of Pakistan, FBR, Ogra, NEPRA and main provincial organizations.

Meeting with provincial representatives
During the discussion, there will be separate meetings with representatives of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan province. The nine-member IMF delegation will be in Pakistan for about two weeks and will also recommend the federal budget of 2021-26 in the country.

IMF’s strict status
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has demanded further strengthening tax evasion in the real estate sector of Pakistan. ARY News reports that discussions have begun to unlock the $ 1 billion loan installment in Pakistan.
