
Chennai | Women in the sea of Drapes, knitting and color come to Togawar for saree marathon

Weekends are never dull or quint to Olkot Memorial Higher Secondary School, it is a stretch that sees marathon, walking and rapid succession assembly. When we go to the ears, the white tease on one side of the road is taken by a large group of students. On the other hand, a large group of women wait for a checked flag to announce their marathon. Every woman there was in a saree – painted in different weavers and colors and in different styles.
“We often have short competitions and fun activities after home events and festivals. I wearing this saree and even played tog-off-stars,” Rashi said, showing his kurug-style sari drop. “I feel very comfortable in it and I am glad to see how it holds it through the marathon,” he laughed.
Before the saree marathon, women like him gathered in a large group, clicking the photos, and the saree stories were circulated. Purnima Jha, Niharika Venalla, Kamala Kalyan Krishnan and Crithika Vikas, a group of friends said that the opportunity to wear sarees for it was signed up as a party. “This is a new experience for me. I have been the whole marathon in the past, and was interested in how it would be,” Purnima said. Crethika, who liked the experience with DRAP, turned into the internet to inspire the saree to drop the saree, orange chose a dhoti-style drop for its soft cotton saree. “As a yoga teacher and a number of my students as therapists, especially senior citizens come to class in a saree. If you feel comfortable in a saree, just wear it to work,” said Niharika.
Not too far away, Neha Mahida and her friends are wearing the last minute touches on their sarees – it ensures that fasting with pin, wearing a belt and standing in place of six yards marathon. “We each will choose a color to wear and I have been properly warned not to travel over my saree. My leggings and shoes will hopefully help, ”said Neha.

The ripe runners like Neha, who first ran to the saree for the first time, went back to the hack to make the experience more comfortable – wearing a short saree, spreading it on his trusted pair, or even a blouse for a tank top.
