He also has a degree of environmental economy at Harvard University. Denianesh Kumar retired as Secretary, Cooperation Ministry in January 2024. He was then appointed as the Election Commissioner. Prior to the Cooperation Ministry, he had conducted several obligations in the Union Home Ministry.
