Private telecom operators have opposed the latest spam control rules issued by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). In a statement issued today (February 7), telecom companies have expressed concern over significant growth of non-complex punishment. Director General of the Cellular Operator Association, SP Cochhar, said the Quai has been disappointed that the Try Amendment has been issued without resolving all problems to strengthen consumer protection against unwanted commercial communication (UCC).
